It's all over ....

Yes, it was wonderful
Yes, we all got lots of scrapping done
Yes, everyone appeared to have a good time
BUT I'm exhausted and I said that I will not be doing another one again.........

I got the most wonderful chocolate story which I will photograph and post but I could not bring myself to break into the chocolates!

In total there were 155 l/os completed; 5 mini-albums and mostly everyone completed thier birthday books.

So even though I have said "NO MORE" at the same time I love going away for a weekend's scrapping with friends, so how to solve that problem. One way is that I am responsible for the accommodation and a FEW extras and everyone else is divided into teams of five and those teams are responsible for one breakfast, one lunch, and one dinner each and the cleanup.
Your comments please ladies

Question I was asked

Can we combine two ( or more ) challenges? Like 'Then and Now' and 'One colour/one B&W' ?

Now you can't do any of these challenges until SC so you'll have to wait for the rules :-)

Weather

Keep an eye on this site for the weather forecast - so far fine, but cloudy and maybe some rain on Sunday

Not long to go now!

I have cooked the mince for nachos, browned the sausages and its all in the freezer. The butcher kindly chopped up all the chicken for me. The groceries are in bags downstairs waiting for Helen to arrive tomorrow. Some boxes of yummy s/b related things are also packed and ready to go. Today I will make the broccoli salad. I just have the fresh goods to buy (bread, salad etc) tomorrow, fetch Irene and Katrina from the airport then we can go!

A bribe

Kris has bribed me to give you all some more challenges to prepare for, so here are two (equal to the number of items she offered ;-) )

10. Describe your child (or someone else) as a unique species in the animal kingdom (make up a “Latin” name too!)
14. Use numbers to describe someone’s personality/life (eg 2 sets of car keys lost, 2 countries lived in, 2 children)

Arrival time on Thursday night around 5.30pm will be great

By Special Request ......

Here is a summary of all the Challenges I have sent you so far (and a few more):

2. Make a l/o about someone’s (or your) quirks
3. Use black & white AND coloured photos on the same l/o
5. Scrapbook some out-takes
6. Incorporate another craft
7. Visit www.puzzlemaker.com <http://www.puzzlemaker.com> and make a wordfind (or other puzzle) about your family (or other)
8. Scrapbook a collection (eg your shoes, your child’s shells etc)
13. Use www.metaatem.net/words <http://www.metaatem.net/words> for a funky page title (copy to a Word document and print it before coming away)
15. Find a set of index prints and use every one on a l/o
19. Do a "Then & Now" page

And then there is an ANZAC l/o and a "love" l/o!

As next weekend is a long weekend, I would suggest that those who are coming from Wellington are at Paremata round-about by at least 4.30pm

Don’t forget your bedding and all toiletries and towel; a small slice or similar to share; any drinks other than tea/coffee; money for the two shops that will be represented and prepare to have fun!

Eighteen Days To Go

For those of you who work outside the home you only have today and another two weekends to get ready – YAY! (Actually that’s pretty scary for me!)

Here are another two challenges for you:
#2 Scrapbook your (or someone else’s) quirks …… or how two of you in the same family have the same quirks

#13 Use www.metaatem.net/words for a funky page title: where the space is at "Spell", type your word in and then click on the "spell" button just on the right. Click on each letter to change it, and right click, then Copy and then Paste into a word document which you can then print before coming away

You should now have Challenges 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 15 & 19

Four weeks to go

In less than four weeks time we will be at ScrapCamp! I must say I am really looking forward to three days of scrapping, relaxing and chatting. I got lots of photos printed, but have seen some photos of my boys when they were little and now I want to scrap those too! So much to do, so little time!

About the Challenges – they’re just some fun ideas that you may wish to do (or not!) Remember the preparation is done now, but the actual scrapping happens at camp. And about that US word "out-takes" – it means the photos that you normally wouldn’t use eg someone pulling a funny face in a group photo

So Challenge # 19: Do a Then & Now l/o (I have the perfect photos); and

Challenge # 8 Scrapbook a collection (eg your shoes, your child’s shells etc)

A few photos first:

And what you need:

Tools:
Cutting blade
Basic Grey file set or similar small tools (to sand inside small holes for
rings)
3 x coloured pens that match papers e.g. souffle, glaze pens or similar (could get away with 2 pens if necessary)

Xyron cheetah or similar guttsy glue (to put papers onto Maya Rd album)
Other glue of choice (to glue in calendar pages)
Materials
5 co-ordinating patterned papers
Matching cardstock x 3 colours - only need a small amount 6"x2" would be plenty
A paint that will match papers (to paint edges of pages)
Mini ink pad that matches papers Black ink pad (mini is fine)
Embellishments of choice e.g. letter stickers (for title page, rub ons, stickers etc to match papers) keep embellishemnts small - letter stickers can be up to 3" tall)
Print off pages for calendar that I will send to everyone as an excel spreadsheet onto co-ordinating cardstock (remember to print off sufficient 31, 30, 29 & 28 days for the 12 months of the year) - don't trim pages down until you arrive (these are a tight fit so better to do it there)..
